Annual Report
Office Bearers 2008
Guy Sidey – Chairman
John Watkins – Secretary
Dave Foster – Treasurer
Dave Penman – Club Captain
Harry Burles – New Members
The club’s relations with the landlord and farmer remain good. Repairs to the rutted track will be carried out when the ground dries out. The landlord will consider our request for re-allocation to the woodland range. Until we have his views we are to take no further action.
The club’s membership was growing. Safety and site security policies and protocols were reviewed. All suggestions to be given to the club’s Secretary.
The club’s finances were satisfactory and available for the continued growth of the club during 2008. Money has been allocated for new targets and safety signage.
Approval was given to buy new spinner type practice targets. The club would see if grants were available. It was agreed to pay for a grinder to replace a broken one.
The repainting of the containers will continue when time and weather permit.
Work will continue developing the third practice lane from the car park to the ruins running roughly North West.
For new members induction to the club, safety training and basic coaching - Duncan Rogers has agreed to assist Harry.
The Club Captain selected the provisional dates for the 2008 Calendar. These proposals are indicated on the calendar page of the web site. Note, these dates are provisional and have to be ratified by SARPA. The format of the Kingdom Cup was to be based on the Anglo American competition. Contact Dave Penman if you want more information on all our inter-club competitions.
Thanks to all members who have given up their spare time to work at the club. Especially Ray and Jon for maintaining the grass cutting equipment, Graeme for building the bridge and James for his work on the containers/shed.
The full Minute will be posted on the Club Notice Board within 30 days.
